Identifying Common Household Insects
It can be difficult to identify the type of insect or other pest you’re seeing scurrying or flying around your home. The best way to find out what kind of pest you’ve got is to follow these steps:
- Get a visual. Take a photo if you can, the closer the better.
- Are you finding droppings or dark-colored smudges or smears? That may be a clue to what type of pest is in your home. Take note or snap a photo of what you’re seeing
- Where are you seeing them? The location of the markings, the discarded insect exoskeletons, or the live bugs is a major clue. For example, are they in the pantry in your dry goods, on your mattress, in your carpet, or crawling into cracks in your walls?

I've been with Hawx for a few years. They have great customer service. I didn't like that the price went up and got charged without my being notified but I discussed that with them once I realized my auto charge was increased.
